Q3 Image Competition and Monthly Critique

Participation in the Image Competition or our Monthly Critique is a great way for members to accelerate their photographic learning. Putting your work in front of others for feedback helps you focus on refining your capture and processing techniques.


Q3 Image Competition

  • Images are due to Dan Holmes by Aug 6th, 2026 by Midnight

  • Images will be reviewed and scored by a 3-judge panel of certified PPC / PPA judges

  • This quarter's competition will be held on August 10th. Click Here

CCP Website Update - This week, we introduced phase 1 of a CCP Members contact list on the website. This list is accessible only to CCP members who have logged in. Each member's contact card displays their name, phone number, email, city, and state. Additionally, the card includes sections for your preferred genres and the camera brand you use. Click here to view the page on the members menu. More features will be added to this page in the future.


Members can update their contact and preference details by selecting the Profile Menu in the Login Menu and clicking the edit profile link. We encourage members to keep their contact information accurate.

  • 8/08/2026 - Outing: Venice Beach and Santa Monica Pier - You will have the opportunity to make a wide variety of images from lifestyle, landscape, photojournalism, and sports. Bonus: The sunset. Plan on being there from 4 to 8 p.m. There are places to eat on the pier. Click here to Register

  • 8/10/2026 - 2026 Q3 Quarterly Image Competition - Quarterly Image Competitions are offered to provide competitive scoring, feedback, critique, and awards for our members. All competitions are judged by a panel of 3 PPC or PPA-certified judges. Click here to Register.

  • 8/12/2026 - Critique: August - Wabe-Sabi - Learn from a monthly judged critique of members' images for the month of August on the topic - Wabe-Sabi. Each month has a different judge and a different theme. Click here to Register.

  • 8/17/2026 - Presentation: Understanding SDR and HDR in Lightroom and Photoshop with Greg Benz - Greg will show us how and when to use HDR processing in Lightroom and Photoshop. This HDR is not to be confused with HDR Image Blending. He will help clear up the confusion associated with using the same term for different things. Click here to Register
