Only three hours away from Ventura County, Morro Bay is a wonderful place for photography. We will shoot a couple sunrises and sunsets and in between enjoy the sights and sounds of San Luis Obispo County.

About the event
The area around Morro Bay offers incredible photographic opportunities. Our primary subject will be the iconic 576-foot Morro Rock, a dramatic volcanic monolith that dominates the shoreline. During our visit, we'll photograph breathtaking seascapes, abundant wildlife including sea otters, herons, and peregrine falcons, colorful harbor scenes, coastal landscapes, and the charming downtown area.
On this trip, we'll catch sunrises at North Point Beach, Bouchon Beach and Montana de Oro. During the day, there will be plenty of opportunities to shoot in the harbor, parks and the colorful downtown area. At days end we'll go to Spooners Cove and Cayucos Pier to catch the sun as it's setting. Optionally you can stay an extra day on Saturday the 24th to shoot the annual Morro Bay Witches Paddle from 12 to 2:00. Paddleboarders and kayakers dressed up in Halloween costumes paddle across the bay – a colorful experience.
